Amrita Rao’s last hit, Vivah showed her as a perfect Dulhan for marriage. Her next movie, Shaurya will show her as an army widow. Amrita Rao is currently shooting in Bangkok for Anil Kapoor’s Shortcut film, and she sounded very excited about her role in Shaurya. Coming back to her character part, she revealed that this is her first cameo. She has done it not just as Samar Khan is a great friend of hers, but he also gave a role that was essential to the theme of the film.
She knows Samar whom she calls Sammy, from her first film and they became close during the show, Sabse Favourite Kaun in 2005, which she won ultimately. She says that they hear commentaries and scripts daily, but there was a young director trying out a different film on the whole. She feels honoured to be a part of this film.
Samar Khan is the director of Kuch Meetha Ho Jaye said. He says that Amrita plays a very small but very important role in the film. They have completed shooting her part in four days. She is a very good friend of Samar. She is a very sweet girl and has no pesters.
