After playing the most important character in Jodhaa Akbar, Sonu Sood has caught filmmaker’s attention. The actor is now set to play 11 different characters in UTV's Dhoondte Rehe Jaaoge, which is to be directed by Umesh Mehra. Fascinatingly, Sood will play Shashi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Bobby Deol.
Dhoondte Rehe Jaaoge is about a film star, played by Sonu, and his tests and troubles as an actor. The film also includes Paresh Rawal and Soha Ali Khan. Paresh, who plays the role of a director, is making a film where Sonu has to perform the different roles that the actors are famously known for. Thus, he will be playing Shashi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Bobby Deol. Apart from that Sonu will also play duplicates of five different characters. The film is about how the actor, Sonu Sood enjoys a posh lifestyle in Bandra while his duplicate lives in a dirty chawl in Dharavi. Sonu has been extensively watching films of the actors he has to play in Dhoondte Rehe Jaaoge. Sonu has watched Deewar to know more about Amitabh's acting style in the film. He has planned to watch films of the other actors too. Besides watching their films, Sonu also plans to visit the sets so that he can closely observe the professional as well as personal style of the actors. He is also keen to know about their dressing style. Playing 11 characters is quite a challenge for Sonu. He has also made it a point to watch Sanjeev Kumar's Naya Din Naye Raat where the actor had played nine different characters.
