Editor Bela Saigal's directorial debut has hit troubled waters. The untitled film which was to mark the acting debut of Adnan Sami opposite Mona Singh of Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin fame was to go on the floors this year. However, the film was shelved as Adnan feels that the script that was narrated to him last year isn't relevant anymore. Reason? Adnan's drastic weight loss.
Bela's film was a love story of an obese man and a beautiful girl. The script was discussed with Adnan and he was pretty excited about it too. Bhushan Kumar of T Series had also agreed to present the film. However, Adnan has turned down the offer as he has lost so much weight that the core idea of the script has fallen flat.
Adnan, who has lost more than 100 kgs, just does not look like he used to earlier. Obviously Adnan couldn't portray the character of a fat man, as he is no longer fat. He is now looking at other projects to make his debut as an actor.
While Bela Saigal and her brother Sanjay Leela Bhansali remained unavailable for comment, Bhushan Kumar says, "We are improvising the script at the moment. I have no idea about what you are saying. Bhansaliji is the best person to answer this."
